In this daylong retreat Carol and Ashley will be weaving together meditation, gentle yoga, and yoga nidra with compassion talks, small group discussion, and other kindness practices. It’s an opportunity to unplug, connect within, and foster life resiliency.

Pairing awareness with compassion, we will:
• Mitigate stress and diminish the impact of stress on our nervous system
• Cultivate conditions for our inner teacher to emerge
• Strengthen compassion as a way to enhance relationship with ourselves and others

All levels and bodies welcome. Bring a journal; tea and snacks provided.

Workshop cost: $108 if reserved one week before / $125 week-of

Ashley Dahl, MSW – A champion of compassionate self-awareness, Ashley possesses a keen ability to infuse mindfulness into everyday life. She brings humor and a presence of calm thoughtfulness as she blends the teachings of wisdom traditions with modern culture. Ashley has been practicing meditation in the vipassana (insight) tradition for over fifteen years and is trained and certified through the Mindfulness Training Institute. openspacemindfulness.com

Carol Grimes, MPH is a yoga and meditation teacher who specializes in yoga, mindful movement, and meditation for people with physical pain or emotional stress. She has practiced vipassana for the past six years with teachers in the US and Burma, and teaches loving-kindness meditation as a 6-week series at Unfold. She studies with Doug Keller, Monicka Koneski, and Gary Krafstow in the fields of therapeutic yoga and yoga for chronic pain.
